Stainless Steel Square Pipe Manufacturer in India

Stainless Steel Square Pipe Manufacturer in India Since 1962

Siddhgiri Overseas manufactures stainless steel square pipe for structural, mechanical, and architectural use, produced in sizes from 12mm x 12mm up to 100mm x 100mm and larger with wall thickness from 0.8mm to 6.0mm. Square pipe is supplied in ASTM A554 mechanical tubing grades MT304, MT304L, MT316, MT316L, MT321, and MT201/MT202, covering standard corrosion resistance, low-carbon weldability, and higher-temperature service depending on grade. The square profile is produced either by direct box forming of flat strip or by reshaping a round welded pipe through turks-head sizing dies, and the method chosen affects corner definition and is selected based on the end use. Square pipe suits applications where a flat face is needed for welding, bolting, or mounting - equipment frames, structural supports, machinery bases, table legs, railings, and general fabrication work. As a Mumbai-based manufacturer operating since 1962, Siddhgiri Overseas checks dimensions before dispatch and supplies the full profile and grade range from a single source.

Stainless steel square pipe is a hollow structural section with a square cross-section, produced as welded tube in the ASTM A554 mechanical tubing grade series. Unlike round pipe, its four flat faces provide straight mating surfaces, which is why it is widely used wherever pipe sections need to be welded, bolted, or clamped flush against another flat component.

Siddhgiri Overseas produces square pipe across the standard ASTM A554 grades - MT304, MT304L, MT316, MT316L, MT321, and MT201/MT202 - in sizes from 12mm x 12mm up to 100mm x 100mm and larger, with wall thickness from 0.8mm to 6.0mm. Each grade is available in the full profile range, so fabricators can source both round and square tube to a common grade specification from one supplier.

Square pipe is manufactured by two distinct methods - direct box forming and round-to-square reshaping - and the method used has a direct bearing on corner sharpness and dimensional consistency, covered in the Production Methods tab.

Grades & Sizing

Square pipe from Siddhgiri Overseas is supplied in the ASTM A554 mechanical tubing grade series, covering standard austenitic and ferritic options:

MT304

Austenitic, general purpose

Standard corrosion resistance for general fabrication and mechanical tubing

MT304L

Austenitic, low carbon

Improved weldability, used where welded joints see repeated heat exposure

MT316

Austenitic, molybdenum-alloyed

Higher corrosion resistance for more demanding service environments

MT316L

Austenitic, low carbon

Combines 316-type resistance with better weld-zone performance

MT321

Austenitic, stabilized

Suited to higher-temperature mechanical tubing applications

MT201/MT202

Austenitic (chromium-manganese)

General mechanical tubing use as an alternative to 300-series grades

Sizing range: 12mm x 12mm up to 100mm x 100mm and larger, with wall thickness from 0.8mm to 6.0mm. This range covers light-gauge tube for furniture and display fixtures through to heavier-wall sections for structural framing and equipment bases. Grade and size selection should match the load, weld exposure, and finish requirements of the specific application; Mill Test Certificates (MTC, e.g. to EN 10204 3.1) accompany supply as standard industry documentation for grade and dimensional verification.

Applications

Square pipe is chosen over round profiles specifically where flat mating faces simplify fabrication or improve the finished appearance:

Structural framing and fabrication: Square pipe is used for machinery frames, equipment bases, and structural supports, where the flat faces allow welded or bolted joints to sit flush without the notching or saddle-cutting that round tube requires at a joint.

Architectural and furniture applications: Table legs, railings, and display fixtures use square pipe for its clean, modern profile and because flat faces give a stable, even mounting surface for feet, brackets, and panel fixings.

General mechanical tubing: Square pipe manufactured to ASTM A554 is used across chassis and equipment components where a defined mechanical tubing specification is required alongside the square profile.

Production Methods

Siddhgiri Overseas produces square pipe using two different forming routes, and the choice between them affects corner geometry and is matched to the intended application.

Direct Box Forming: Flat stainless steel strip is fed through a series of roll-forming stations that progressively bend it into a square profile, with the seam welded along one corner of the section. This route forms the square shape directly from flat stock in a single continuous line.

Round-to-Square Reshaping: A round welded pipe is produced first, then passed through turks-head sizing dies that reshape the round cross-section into a precise square. Because the tube starts round and is sized down into square form, this method generally allows tighter control over corner radius and is the more common route for structural and architectural grades where corner definition and flat-face consistency matter.

Both routes are used across the grade and size range depending on the section size and the intended application, and dimensions are checked before dispatch regardless of the forming method used.

Certifications

Siddhgiri Overseas is ISO certified for quality, occupational health & safety and environment management, and holds the import and export certification required to supply stainless steel pipe and tube to customers worldwide. Certificate copies are available on request for buyers who need them for their own compliance records.

Frequently Asked Questions About Stainless Steel Square Pipe

Direct box forming roll-forms flat strip straight into a square profile with the weld seam on one corner, while round-to-square reshaping first forms a round welded pipe and then sizes it into a square through turks-head dies. Round-to-square reshaping generally gives tighter, more consistent corner radius control, which is why it is more common for structural and architectural grades.

Square pipe is manufactured from 12mm x 12mm up to 100mm x 100mm and larger, with wall thickness ranging from 0.8mm to 6.0mm.

MT304L or MT316L are generally preferred for structural fabrication involving welding, as their lower carbon content reduces the risk of carbide precipitation at weld joints compared to standard MT304 or MT316.

MT321 is a stabilized grade within the ASTM A554 series intended for higher-temperature mechanical tubing service; grade selection should be matched to the specific temperature and service conditions of the application.

Square pipe presents flat faces that give a clean, modern appearance and a stable, even surface for mounting feet, brackets, and panel fixings, which round profiles cannot provide without additional shaping.

No, Siddhgiri Overseas supplies all ASTM A554 grades - MT304, MT304L, MT316, MT316L, MT321, and MT201/MT202 - across the square pipe size range regardless of forming method; the method used is selected based on the corner definition the application requires.

Supply is accompanied by Mill Test Certificates (MTC, e.g. to EN 10204 3.1) as standard industry documentation confirming grade and dimensional compliance, with dimensional checks carried out before dispatch.
